Dancing's Karina Smirnoff Gets Plastic Surgery on Nose
Karina Smirnoff of Dancing with the Stars had plastic surgery on her twice-broken nose, her rep confirms to people.
The 29-year-old dancing pro who partnered with boxer Floyd Mayweather this season had the procedure done Nov. 2 for medical as well as aesthetic reasons.
A doctor performed the routine procedure to repair the nasal passageway and reshape Smirnoff's nose, which she's broken twice in accidents in the past six years.
Smirnoff is expected to make a swift recovery in time to appear on the November 27 DWTS finale when all of the season five couples will reunite on the ballroom floor.
"She can breathe easier," the surgeon, Dr. Nicholas Nicolov, told Extra. "She may find being a little less tired, a little less winded."
Karina Smirnoff’s Nose Job
While the field of plastic surgery has taken a hit this week with the horribly tragic death of Kanye West‘s mother, there is at least one person in Hollywood singing its praises — Dancing With the Stars‘ Karina Smirnoff!
“I love it!” the professional dancer tells TV’s Extra. “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.” So how is she doing with her recovery? “It doesn’t hurt anymore,” Karina, who says she’s now just a “better version of me,” explains. “No swelling or bruising…. just a little numb.”
