Karen Mulder was one of the most successful supermodels of the 90s. The Dutch beauty graced the cover magazines such as Vogue, Marie Claire, and Elle. The next decade saw her experience emotional turmoil where she claimed to have been raped by several prominent figures.
Lately,
Karen Mulder is back in the news for making threatening phone calls to her plastic surgeon. The doctor was terrified and contacted the police, who then picked up Mulder at her Paris apartment. She was charged with threatening behavior.
Karen Mulder is now 39 and somewhat a caricature of her former self. She appears to have had an unfortunate too tight facelift coupled with cheek implants to give her face youthful fullness. She looks like an early stage version of Jocelyn Wildenstein. (Their eyes and cheek shape share similarities.) Her nose was wider at the tip during her supermodel days, but is thinner now.
To be fair,
Karen Mulder doesn't look bad but it's clear that she has undergone some type of plastic surgery. Karen's plastic surgery is undeniably better than most of the plastic surgeries we have noticed on some celebrities. She appears to be more wide-eyed now and has fuller cheeks, but not too overdone. Karen is still beautiful.
We have to take into account that most women's faces fall dramatically after 37-38, and if they get fat (which shows up in the face) in their 30s or shed pounds after children and sunbathe extensively, or drink too much, their skin is dehydrated and usually age prematurely. Then it's difficult to fix their faces because the skin's too old & inflexible.
The unfortunate thing is that
Karen Mulder was arrested in Paris in July 2009 after allegedly threatening to attack her plastic surgeon.
As a result,
Karen Mulder was held at a police station in the French capital following "vicious telephone calls" directed at the female medic.
Karen Mulder was considered to have asked for a previous plastic surgery procedure to be reversed.
A detective revealed: "She was screaming and shouting about the operation and became extremely threatening.There were repeated calls to the female surgeon who was extremely scared. The suspect is being interviewed."
Karen Mulder is NOT old lol. And she doesn't even look like shes had anything done to me. What a amazing plastic surgeon she had!!! The person who posted (omg I am so afraid of being old) your a joke. You wish you looked half as good as Karen. I am 27, and I don't think 40 somthings are old. Just older. If your teeth start getting yellow, you get them whitened. Its the same with the face. It doesn't make you crazy, old, or anything to tweek yourself. BTW People at 16 years old who lose loads of weight have to have full face and body lifts because of the extra skin. Cosmetic surgery used correctly can change someone's life for the better. The rule with anything is going to a qualified surgeon and knowing exactly what you want and your goal is. But for the record old is like 80. Going from 20 to 40 doesn't make you a old lady. It just makes you older. Get real.
